Sacramental Rites

Baptisms take place as part of the Sunday Eucharist, and they are typically scheduled at one of these four feasts: the Baptism of our Lord (Jan), Easter (Mar/Apr), the Day of Pentecost (May/June), and the Sunday closest to All Saints’ Day (Nov). Other Sundays may be arranged with the rector.

Our clergy can officiate at funerals or memorial services in the church, at funeral homes, or at the graveside.

Confirmation (for those baptized at a young age and adults baptized by someone other than a bishop), Reception (into the Episcopal Church from another Christian denomination, and Reaffirmation (of one returning to the church after a period of unbelief or entering a new level of spiritual life) happens during a bishop’s visitation.

This rite is available for all who desire it. It is not restricted to times of sickness. Confessions may be heard anytime and anywhere. (BCP 446)

Unction is anointing the sick with oil, or the laying on of hands, by which God's grace is given for the healing of spirit, mind, and body. (BCP 861)
